Hydrogenation reactions
Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and Heck-Mizoroki reactions
Deoxygenation
Oxidation reactions
Coupling reactions

Palladium on carbon (Pd/C) (10 wt. % loading, matrix activated carbon support) can be used as a catalyst in the well known reactions like hydrogenation of alkenes, alkynes, ketones, nitriles, imines, azides, nitro groups, benzenoid and heterocyclic aromatics; hydrogenolysis of cyclopropanes, benzyl derivatives, epoxides, hydrazines, and halides; dehydrogenate aromatics and deformylate aldehydes.
It can also be used as:

A catalyst for hydrodechlorination of dichlorodifluoromethane (CCl2F2), which is a known greenhouse gas[1],
A catalyst for Heck reactions of aryl halides in ionic liquids[2]
An anode catalyst for the fabrication of direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFC)[3]
A cost-effective electrocatalyst for the oxidation of methanol[4]
In the catalytic hydrogenation of chemical hydrides for the production of hydrogen[5]
A catalyst in Suzuki-Mayaura reaction[6]”
